Last night I sat outside while the sun went down and the waning moon was high in the sky, Venus and Jupiter were the only stars you could see. As the sun sank down it cast this purple hue over the moon and when it did I felt this over whleming love. Then one by one the stars appeared and the moon became clearer. I felt so at peace. I knew she was trying to tell me something. All at once I knew what I had to do. The next step that I had been teetering on the edge of, wondering if I would go left or right. Just then I knew. I just wanted to share that with someone who understands.

My uncle was murdered last September in his apartment in Brooklyn NY. Since crimes like this happen so often the police basically told my family that they should basically give up. In the beginning of June I read in Scott Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs that if you are looking for answers to a crime committed within the last year that you should bury an old piece of leather in a bed of lilies. I just so happened to have planted a beautiful bed of lilies last spring that are nearly six feet tall. So I asked the universe for old leather. A few days later I was in the basement and found an old leather jacket with tassels hanging from it. Nearly identical to the one my uncle wore in high school. So I performed my spell with candles I had made the week he past. And here we are just a few weeks later. The police have notified the family that new evidence was discovered and they know who did it! The man is in Trinidad right now and they are working to get him back to the states!!

Update: I’m on vacation right now and I could feel that my lilies were in bloom (they weren’t when I left) so I asked my mother to check…. They are.. The spell is compete my heart is so full!!

I am new to witchcraft. I am 25 years old and I have been studying for a little over two years now but I have only recently began actively performing spells. I used to believe I was Wiccan because of the whole harm none thing and mostly because I thought it was either “white” witchcraft or “dark” witchcraft! As I’ve studied, I’ve really grown as a person and learned so much about science and my own personal energies. Needless to say… We all know that it is not that simple. During this time I have been with a man that not only doesn’t understand me or my path at all. But he will literally laugh at me and bother me knowing I’m working on a spell or trying to quiet my mind. He’s caused me some serious depression and anxiety issues that were always kind of under the surface, he brought them right out. Every time I tried to leave him he would manipulate me in some way that I didn’t even notice until very recently. So I said enough is enough.
I noticed some beautiful purple flowers growing and after some research I learned that it is Woody Nightshade. Just what I needed.
I retrieved the plant roots and all and told them of my intention. Then put them in a dark closet to dry for a few weeks.
Last night he proved once again that I am only in his life for his convenience so I checked the herb and it was ready.
I used a cast iron skillet and a very small flame and I lightly steeped the roots in organic coconut oil until they were wilted. All the while wishing him away from me. No harm. Just go.
I had put the dried flowers and berries into a small clear jar and I poured the hot oil into it. The popping and cackling that came from the jar was intense. I put all of my darkness into it and sealed it. Now I have a banishing balm.
I then wiped the pan clean with a clean cloth and made his breakfast with the same intentions.
He finished the food said good bye to his daughter and told me he was going to stay with his grandmother!
